Prism PPM (formerly WorkOtter) was founded in 1998 to fill the need for a project portfolio management solution designed for the PMO and based on project management best practices. As one of the first PPM tools on the market, Prism PPM quickly became known for its innovative features like What-if Scenario Planning and best-in-class resource management.
Since 2013, Prism PPM has been included every year on a Gartner Magic Quadrant. Recently, Gartner analysts honored us as a Visionary in the Adaptive Project Management and Reporting category for our innovative solutions that empower PMOs and portfolio leaders through alignment, insights, and tools.
Following a 2024 investment from Lock 8 Partners, we changed our name to Prism PPM in 2025. This was not a change in name only: we’ve redoubled our commitment to helping each of our customers transform their PMO into a strategic organizational asset so they risk less and realize more on every project across their portfolio.
