Planning and launching new projects should be easy, secure, and efficient. With Prism PPM, you can standardize how project managers plan their projects—saving time while embedding best practices.
Every project manager has their own workflow. For each new Prism customer, we help configure that workflow—typically beginning with request intake, moving into planning, progressing through any approval steps, then into the active project pipeline, and finally to completion and lessons learned.
That’s the “happy path.” But we know not every project follows the same route. Some may be smaller, business-as-usual projects that don’t require formal approvals. Prism PPM gives you a visual workflow so you can see your entire project pipeline—what’s upcoming, what’s active, and whether you have the right resources to deliver.
When creating new projects, Prism PPM gives you flexibility:
- Customizable forms let you prioritize key fields—your project charter, financials, or any custom data you need. Fields can be made mandatory so you always capture essential information.
- Project templates save tremendous time by predefining teams, work plans, risks, and deliverables. Even simple templates—just phases and milestones—reduce clicks and give your team more time to focus on delivery.
- Confidential projects ensure sensitive information is locked down, visible only to the project team and administrators.
Once created, each project has its own dashboard—a command center with everything you need to succeed. You can build your team, manage the work plan, track issues in your RAID log, monitor milestones, and see key risks or overdue tasks—all in one place.
Work plans can be as complex or as simple as you need. Views are customizable, letting you surface financial data, milestones, or other priorities. You can also save and share these views to ensure everyone sees projects consistently.
For visualization, Prism PPM offers a powerful Gantt chart with dependencies, critical path analysis, and the ability to quickly reschedule. If a client isn’t ready to start or approvals are delayed, you can simply drag the project forward on the timeline. With one click, Prism automatically updates all durations, notifies team members, and adjusts the resource plan—turning hours of manual work into seconds.
With Prism PPM, you can plan, schedule, and launch projects with confidence—equipping your PMO to deliver efficiently, align with strategic objectives, and mature project management practices.
